In addition to 180 kilometres of urban bike paths and lanes in Gatineau and Ottawa, the Outaouais region has more than 200 kilometres of trails winding through unspoiled parkland and natural areas. Plan a bicycle camping trip with the family and enjoy beautiful sunsets along the way. In Gatineau and Ottawa, explore the national capital’s bike trails along the Ottawa River and through the downtown core, close to several national museums. A short distance out of town, discover Gatineau Park in the Gatineau Hills, the PPJ Cycloparc in the Pontiac, the Véloroute des Draveurs (log drivers’ bike trail) in the Vallée-de-la-Gatineau, or Plaisance National Park in the Petite Nation La Lièvre. And on Sunday mornings in the National Capital Region, enjoy the fun of Alcatel-Lucent Sunday Bikedays as you cycle along city roads and parkways emptied of cars!
