Le Pontiac

Quebec’s fourth largest city, Gatineau (the amalgamation of the former cities of Hull, Aylmer, Gatineau, Buckingham and Masson-Angers) has a population of more than 260,000 and an area of 340 square kilometres. If you’re a fan of outdoor patios, shopping, entertainment and museums, you’re sure to enjoy our city lights, city sights!

Are you travelling with children? No problem! With hundreds of kid-friendly activities of all kinds, the Outaouais region has plenty of family fare. Our museums, water parks, bike paths, train rides and much more will keep the whole crowd entertained all year round.

Are you the active (or even hyperactive) type? Are you happiest in the great outdoors? You’ll find lots to enjoy in our region’s five territories. Gatineau, Collines-deA-l’Outaouais, La Petite-Nation La Lièvre, Vallée-de-la-Gatineau, and Pontiac are packed with Quebec treasures just waiting to be discovered! North America’s highest bungee jump, the largest natural caves on the Canadian Shield, more than 380 kilometres of bike paths, four aerial parks, and a water labyrinth are just a few of the places you can get a great workout!

If you prefer less strenuous ways of broadening your horizons, you’ll be happy to know that we also put the accent on culture. With creative input from both Ontario and Quebec provinces, the Outaouais region offers distinctive world-class entertainment, talented artists in every discipline, and fascinating historic sites throughout the region!
