It's tea time! Although warming up over a cup of tea at home is always appreciated, savouring this infused hot water can become a memorable experience in itself. Here are three places to enjoy a cup of tea in the Outaouais region.

CHA YI Tea House

CHA YI Tea House specializes in fine loose and artisan (blooming) teas from China, Taiwan, Japan and India. The boutique carries 150 loose leaf teas, a dozen house-blended tisanes made from local organic plants, and a wide selection of teaware and accessories. Twice a year, the owners travel to Asia to stock up on new and unique products for their clients. Talk about dedicated owners! Take a break in our tea room and enjoy your favourite blend (prepared in a pot or in traditional style) and a selection of scones, home-made cookies and other tasty treats! Tea at the Manoir Papineau, how stylish

It’s always a good time to dress up! Put on your nicest summer outfit and have tea at the home of Louis-Joseph Papineau, every Sunday in August. On the menu: specially blended Oolong tea at the Manor, pastries tasting, and historical animation… all in a posh Victorian sitting room. A tasty throwback in the 19th century!

Domaine Mackenzie King

Take a break from your tour of the Estate, and stop in at the Mackenzie King Café and Tearoom. It’s located in the Moorside cottage, one of cottages owned by the former prime minister. Soak up the romantic atmosphere while you linger over English tea or savour a light meal, in an elegant and historic setting. The veranda overlooking the gardens is itself worth the visit.
