It’s a well known fact that summer is festival season in the region. This is particularly true in Gatineau and Ottawa. It’s also a well known fact that the Bluesfest is one of the highlights of summer in the area. Indeed, the RBC Royal bank Bluesfest has made quite the name for itself as a top-notch music festival and manages to surprise us every year with a line-up even more impressive than the previous year’s.

But what if the evening didn’t have to when they turn on the lights on LeBreton Flats? What if the show went on elsewhere? Well guess what: with the help of another major player on the region’s entertainment scene, it does. Casino du Lac-Leamy has been a major partner of the Bluesfest since 2001 and this year, it’s the place to be when the sound guy checks out in Ottawa. And did we mention it's free of charge?

On July 7, DJ Acro will warm up the crowd from 8pm to 11:30pm before legendary DJ Skratch Bastid mixes funk, hip-hop and rock to set the dancefloor on fire! Come dance the night away with a real pro at the turntables!

The following week on July 13, young British Columbian Madeline Merlo will have you swinging to her charming voice and melodies tainted by country, rythm and blues and pop music, with DJ Chris Lunardi opening. Madeline Merlo is definitely an artist you’ll want to discover!

On July 14, legendary Quebec DJ Champion and his G-Strings promise emotions and hip swaying. You can’t help but let yourself go to all his hits that have been rocking discotheques for the past decade!

So, after a nice day and evening outside with your favorite artists, Casino du Lac-Leamy is the place to go to keep the party going with your friends! It’s going to be a rocking summer! See you there!
