January 25 to 31: trio of activities for parents and children
We often say that the Outaouais region is a destination for the WHOLE FAMILY and the activities that we suggest you this week are another proof: the exhibition of the moment at the Children's Museum for the youngest, a variety of winter activities at Winterlude for kids and teens and Winter Beerfest for parents ... What more could you say? And I answer "grandparents to babysit at the hotel in the evening".
Meet your kid’s favourite tank
On January 29, your kid favourite’s tank, Thomas, enters the station at the Children's Museum, in the heart of the Canadian Museum of history. With the exhibition Thomas & FriendsMC – Explore the rails! presented until May 1st, children will have the chance to learn about science, engineering, technology and mathematics through play.
From January 29 to February 15, it’s the 38th Winterlude in Gatineau and Ottawa. Day and night, discover the 3 official sites of this important event of the Canadian winter through a variety of free activities: Snowflake Kingdom in parc Jacques- Cartier, the Crystal Garden at Confederation Park Ottawa and the Rideau Canal Skateway, the world’s largest skating rink. Giant slides, snow sculptures, ice sculptures, introduction to downhill skiing, snow scooter, XTREME Zone and the Ice Hog family.
Gatineau Winter Beerfest
After a full day playing outside, kids will be so tired. This is why it’s important to have grand-parents with you. They will stay at the hotel with children while you will sped good time at the Gatineau Winter Beerfest at the Canadian Museum of History. Discover over 100 craft beers by brewers from the 4 corners of Quebec and Ontario, more than 30 breweries to treat your taste buds and gourmet appetizers created by the head chef of the museum, Martin De Board.
