October 17 to 23: 3 new #Outaouaisfun things to try
Everyone loves trying something new every now and then! This week we’re suggesting three totally #Outaouaisfun new activities to discover in the next few weeks.
Haunted ride at Camp Fortune
To put you in the Halloween spirit, Camp Fortune is offering something new this year: haunted chairlift rides. Fridays and Saturdays, October 21 & 22 and 28 & 29, from 6 to 10 p.m., weather permitting, head to Chelsea for a family evening full of spooky surprises.
Stargazing at Rose Valley
Did you know that as of last summer there’s an astronomy observatory in the Outaouais? Book your stargazing session at Rose Valley, where you can train the telescope on Saturn (yes, yes, you’ll see the rings), double stars, the Moon, the Milky Way, globular star clusters and more. The centre offers several packages, some including overnight accommodation.
A traditional tea service
Have you ever visited the Mackenzie King Estate Tearoom? If not, we highly recommend it. Autumn is a beautiful season to enjoy a traditional afternoon tea, then explore the trails in Gatineau Park—or just go jump in a pile of leaves. The traditional afternoon tea service includes a selection of finger sandwiches, scones and sweet pastries, all served with your choice of tea from the Cha Yi Tea House. An ideal outing for a snack and a chat with a girlfriend.
