The Rapides-Farmer Generating Station, located in the north of the city, offers free visits of its installations. Just a few minutes by car and you'll be in Lac Leamy Park, devouring a fine meal you will previously have bought at La Trappe à fromage. A stay in Gatineau without going to the Canadian Museum of History (the most visited museum in Canada), would be unthinkable and from there, you'll be a stone's throw away from Café Aux 4 jeudis, to end the day with style.

Discover the heritage of the Rapides-Farmer power station, located a few kilometres from downtown Gatineau. You will be fascinated by the history, the hydroelectric facilities and the enchanting setting of this river-run power station, which has been in operation since 1927. Admission: Free. IMPORTANT NOTE: Visitors aged 18 years and over must present photo ID (health insurance card, driver's licence or passport) before touring the facility. The visit is not recommended for children under 2 years of age.
