The Fairbairn House Heritage

Built by William Fairbairn in 1861, the house is now a municipal heritage building, leased by the Municipality of La Pêche to a non-profit volunteer group to tell the stories and legends of the lower Gatineau Valley. On your visit, you can enjoy the newly renovated house and view displays on its new role as a heritage centre, portraying the valley’s rich history. ?Every year Fairbairn House partners with historic house museums to bring in new exhibits on a rotating basis.
