Instead of taking the highway, offer your groups a panoramic
journey by travelling along Route 148, which will take you through villages
and along the Ottawa River. Take this opportunity to make a few stops
along the way…
8:30am: Departure from hotel.
9:45am: Omega Park. At the wheel of your car or in a motorcoach, travel
10 km while observing animals in the wild.
Noon: Lunch at the Fairmont Château Montebello, the largest log
building in the world. Even if you are familiar with its reputation,
nothing can prepare you for the dazzling display of fine architecture
you will witness when
you step inside!
You now have three choices:
-
1:30pm: Departure for downtown Montréal.
You will arrive at 3pm.
-
1:30pm: Enjoy the luxurious resort that is the Fairmont
Château Montebello. In summer, you can enjoy golf, tennis, hiking,
horseback riding, volleyball, cycling and more. The site is also ideal
for winter activities, such as ice-skating, curling, snowmobiling,
ice fishing, horse-drawn carriage rides and dogsledding, as well as
cross-country skiing (from beginner to expert levels). Those who are
interested in the latter can take a lovely excursion along 5 km of
trails that wind around the Château and run along the river,
through the forest. Leave the Château at 4pm to reach downtown
Montréal by 5:30pm.
-
1:30pm: Visit the Manoir Papineau, a Canadian National
Historic Site. This tranquil spot exudes beauty and refinement thanks
to beautiful architecture and landscaping. If you leave the Manoir
at 3:30pm, you will get to downtown Montréal at 5pm.
