Wineries and cider

Sample the Outaouais version of the oldest alcoholic drink in the world. Besides being charmed by the beauty of our vineyards, you’ll be amazed by the wide variety of wines: strawberry wine, fortified raspberry wine, and even straw wine (made from grapes that have been dried to concentrate their juice). Here’s one wine route that’s full of surprises! Meet our passionate winemakers and taste their fine products on site. Domaine du Mont-Vézeau and Vignoble du Clos Baillie offer guided tours and wine tastings. The Outaouais is also known for its cider. The master cider makers at Verger Croque-pomme, source of top-quality cider, wait patiently until the apples are frozen before putting them through the cider press. They produce five varieties of hard cider, plus a sparkling non-alcoholic version. Besides sampling the cider, you can go for a stroll in the orchard, visit the educational beehive, and have fun in the children’s playground. Cheers!
