April 11 to 17: Three #Outaouaisfun activities for grownups
Do you enjoy good times with friends? The Outaouais is happy to oblige! From live shows to late-night clubbing, not to mention yoga with cats, we have everything you need for an #Outaouaisfun weekend.
Club Aléais the destination nightclub par excellence to dance the night away, and the April programming is nothing short of breathtaking, with top DJs featured every night. Fridays are forFusion, the not-to-be-missed night for fans of R&B, Top 40 and other urban rhythms. Saturday’s theme is Dynamik, for discerning clubbers who want the best EDM, house and Top 40 sound. On Saturday, April 16, DJ Domeno gets the party going.
Théâtre de l’Île
“An original cabaret created right here in Gatineau and featuring a host of talented artists. The sexy vibe of a colourful and poetic evening filled with laughter and tears. Confidences, songs and theatre intermingle in this suave and entertaining show. Treat yourself to a little oh la la! Cabaret Oh la la!: Because anything is possible!” That’s the description of Cabaret Oh la la!, currently running at the Théâtre de l’Île. This daring and imaginative collective creation has had rave reviews from audiences and critics alike since it opened earlier this spring.
Yoga with cats
Yes, you read right: in the Outaouais, you can do yoga with cats—logically enough, it’s called cat yoga. On Saturday, April 16, start your day at the Siberian Cat Café in Chelsea with a yoga session (at 9 or 10 a.m.) led by an instructor from the Centre Corps-Esprit. It’s a fun, one-of-a-kind experience that’s gaining in popularity around the world. My colleague Caroline tried it last month: read all about it here.
