Champlain Lookout

Gatineau Park, Chelsea (Québec), Canada

Champlain Lookout, at the top of the Eardley Escarpment on the Champlain Parkway, offers the best-known and most popular view in Gatineau Park. The sector is home to the richest and most fragile ecosystem in the park, primarily because of its geology and location. The escarpment is the dividing line between the rock of the Canadian Shield and the St. Lawrence Lowlands. Access to the lookout varies according to the season. Gatineau Park is managed and protected by the National Capital Commission.
