Known as the “green lung” of the Outaouais region, Gatineau Park spans more than 361 km² of hills and forests. Its rich biodiversity and proximity to downtown Ottawa-Gatineau make it a true paradise for outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy hiking, biking, canoeing, or cross-country skiing while respecting the environment. Must-see attractions include the Mackenzie-King Estate, the Champlain Lookout, and Lake Philippe. A free shuttle runs in the southern sector six days a week, from May through October, departing from Gatineau and Chelsea (and from Ottawa on weekends). Gatineau Park is managed and protected by the National Capital Commission.
