Rideau Hall is the official home and workplace of the Governor General of Canada. This historic residence is just minutes away from downtown Ottawa. In summer, visitors can enjoy a variety of activities: guided tours of the residence, the landscaped grounds and the collection of Canadian art, relief of the Ceremonial Guard sentries and family activities. In winter, the outdoor skating rink is open to the public on weekends and you can also visit the residence upon reservation.
