Are you interested in becoming a member of Outaouais Tourism? Here’s how:
- Contact our Member Services team to apply for membership.
- Our team will review your application according to the established eligibility criteria. Outaouais Tourism reserves the right to verify the eligibility of businesses.
- A member of our team will contact you to discuss next steps, membership benefits, and the appropriate membership category for your business.
There are two types of membership:
Tourism business
A business that offers a tourism service to a clientele and helps attract visitors to the Outaouais region (accommodation, restaurants and gourmet tourism, events, cultural experiences, outdoor experiences, spas and wellness, equipment rental, recreational activities, etc.).
This category also includes tourist services (tourist information centres, municipalities, meeting rooms, land and transport).
Industry services
Businesses and organizations that provide support services to the tourism industry, such as professional associations and organizations, service agencies, and suppliers.
To be eligible for membership, a business must:
- Have a tourism mandate or component and help attract visitors to the Outaouais region.
- Be established or have an office:
- In the Outaouais or the National Capital Region (Gatineau–Ottawa), OR
- In a neighbouring region and operate in the Outaouais.*
- Comply with all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations.
- Be registered with the Registre des entreprises du Québec or its equivalent (if subject to registration).
- Hold a certificate of registration (applies to tourist accommodation only).
- Fit into at least one of the membership categories.
* In this case, the business must also be a member of the Association touristique régionale/ATR (regional tourism association) in its area.
