What's on in the Outaouais February 15-21
Attention: it’s going to be an eventful week in the Outaouais! The Gatineau Loppet, Winterlude, Family Day in our national museums, shows at the Salle Odyssée … A two-day weekend just won’t be enough to pack it all in. Luckily, Monday is a holiday!

2019 Gatineau Loppet
This weekend, Gatineau Park turns into a giant playground during the 41st edition of the Gatineau Loppet international cross-country ski competition. Athletes of all abilities will challenge themselves as they tackle eight ski courses ranging from 2K to 51K, three snowshoe races, and three fat bike races. Don’t miss this popular community-building event.

Saturday, Feb. 16 and Sunday, Feb. 17. The XC Ski Show is also open on Friday, Feb. 15 from 5 to 9 p.m.
On-site registration: $10–$158 depending on age, type of race and distance. Free for spectators.
The XC Ski Show runs all weekend at the Cégep de l’Outaouais. Saturday and Sunday “après-ski” evenings will be at the Chelsea Pub.
Family Day at our national museums
Have you run out of ideas for keeping your children busy over the long weekend? Besides Winterlude, the national museums have lined up a ton of special Family Day activities!

Percussion, unique instruments and world music will get you dancing this weekend as you celebrate Canada’s musical diversity!

Science and demonstrations
Young visitors are invited to develop their creativity during a hands-on LEGO® activity, and learn all about fire and ice at two amazing demonstrations.

Family Day at the Farm
Special activities and workshops in the museum’s Demonstration Kitchen await you this Monday. Join us for an educational and tasty experience!

Monday, Feb. 18 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Included with museum admission.
3D Movies
Learn about animal behaviour and animal secrets in two 3D movies: Amazon Adventure 3D and Backyard Wilderness 3D. The whole family will be captivated!

Monday, Feb. 18. Various showtimes depending on the film.
Movie admission (in addition to museum admission): $4. Museum members: $3. Free for children age 2 and under.
Winterlude – 3rd weekend
Attention, everyone! You have only a few days left to take part in the region’s most colourful winter festival! Plan a family visit to the Snowflake Kingdom or a romantic stroll to admire the ice sculptures. Events this weekend include the Winterman Marathon, the Big Bang Festival at the National Arts Centre, and the Winter BrewFest at the Aberdeen Pavilion!
Snowflake Kingdom –Jacques-Cartier Park, 350 Laurier Street, Gatineau. Several other Winterlude sites in downtown Ottawa and Gatineau.
Until Feb. 18. Closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Free. Admission charge for some activities.

Shows at the Salle Odyssée
