2019 G-Anime Festival
The world of Japanese animation, video games and manga comes to Gatineau for a weekend you won’t want to miss! The festival program includes exclusive screenings, panels, appearances by special guests, virtual game challenges, live shows and Japanese music.

Winter Fun Days
This weekend, the municipality of Chelsea will be transformed into a winter carnival with all kinds of activities to get you moving! Bundle up the kids and come enjoy a day of outdoor winter fun, including an outdoor skating rink, a hockey game, family Olympics, a spaghetti dinner and live entertainment!
Various locations in Chelsea and Farm Point, depending on the activity.
Saturday, Jan. 19 from 12 noon to 8 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 20 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Free.
Registration is required for the Winter Olympic Games for families, Jan. 19 at Farm Point Park.
Kenauk Nature X-C Ski Classic
Notice to skiers training for the Canadian Ski Marathon and outdoor enthusiasts looking for a challenge: the Kenauk Nature Classic is here at last! Wax up your skis and head out on the mythic trails at Montebello for 22K, 42K or 66K of outdoor fun (and, OK, maybe a little pain for gain)! Family, friends and colleagues are invited to come and cheer on the intrepid participants. 😊
Start and finish line: St-Michel de Montebello School – 200 Bonsecours Street, Montebello.
Saturday, Jan. 19 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Bib pickup: Friday, Jan. 18 from 4 to 9 p.m.
From $40 to $70 depending on distance. Free for spectators.
Snowshoe & Full Moon at Biscotti
What would you say to an evening of snowshoeing under the stars, then a glass of wine and a tartiflette (Savoyard potato and onion pie) to share in the heart of Chelsea village? Sign up for this fun activity that’s great for your body, your soul and your stomach!
Guided snowshoe tour departs from the Gatineau Park Visitors Centre – 33 Scott Road, Chelsea. Supper at Biscotti & Cie – 6 Scott Road, Chelsea.

History Night with a Visionary Photographer
Discover Canada through the eyes of the legendary William Notman at the exhibition Notman, Visionary Photographer at the Canadian Museum of History. This week’s History Night invites you to mingle with curators, experts and other museum enthusiasts, explore the exhibition, and step into a Notman-inspired portrait studio to try your hand at some of his techniques.
