From movies and shows to local products and outdoor activities, there’s no time to be bored in the Outaouais! Here are some ideas for activities to try over the next few days.

Urban Drive-In at Zibi

Drive-in movie nights in the heart of downtown Gatineau continue! Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday in July, you can enjoy great movie classics from the comfort of your vehicle. This weekend’s schedule includes Rocky (1976), Karate Kid (1984) and Baby Driver (2017).

Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays in July, and August 20, 21 and 22. Gates open at 7:30 p.m., movies start at dusk.

Cost

$30/vehicle + applicable fees. | $2 of every ticket sold will be donated to La Manne de l’Île food bank.

Musiparc: Music and comedy

After the drive-in, it’ s time for Musiparc! Same concept, but this time, you can listen to shows while sitting in your vehicle! Pretty great, right? The TD Musiparc Gatineau ends on a high with Matt Lang on July 17, Roxane Bruneau on the 18th and Dominique and Martin on the 19th. The artists will perform on a large stage backed by giant screens. All you have to do is tune your FM radio, sit back and enjoy!

Notre-Dame farmers’ market

The Notre-Dame farmers’ market is back for the summer on the site of the Centre de services scolaire des Draveurs. Every Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., you can stock up on local products and meet the growers, processors and artisans!

Recycl’Art

Papineau-Labelle Wildlife Reserve

Take advantage of the calm lakes of the Papineau-Labelle Wildlife Reserve to spend a restful day on the water. Reserve your fishing day (boat provided) and set out to discover the reserve’s bodies of water. A little bird tells me you should try your luck on the Omble de fontaine or the Touladi! 😉

A breath of fresh Air-Eau-Bois

For a nature expedition or family vacation, the Air-Eau-Bois outdoor centre offers a unique outdoor experience. Beach, equipment rental (canoe, kayak and paddleboard), hiking trails, zip line, obstacle course, climbing, archery … There’s so much to do, you’ll probably want to stay overnight!
