Mont Cascades Mountain Waterpark
Another beautiful hot weekend is forecast, and it’s a great time to go play in the water! With slides for all ages, the Mont Cascades waterpark is designed to entertain the whole family. Enjoy summer in cool comfort, just 20 minutes from downtown Gatineau!

The Great Gatineau PoutineFest
Have you heard of the Great Montréal PoutineFest? After three successful years, the event is “touring” to 10 cities in Quebec, and this weekend it’s Gatineau’s turn!
Until July 8, sample poutine from Quebec’s top food trucks! You can also enjoy beer from several local microbreweries, learn about beer and poutine pairings, and attend workshops where you can create your very own poutine!
Live music, a DJ, interactive games, and children’s activities round out the program.

Admission is free, but you have to pay for beer and poutine from the food trucks.

Wonders of Sand
Gatineau’s Wonders of Sand festival is a great free event for all ages!
Admire the work of the best sand sculptors in the country, zoom down Main Street in a soapbox or on a giant water slide (180 metres/600 feet long), participate in Amateur and Family sculpture challenges, and join the mega watergun battle for the whole family!

2018 Gatineau Triathlon
Come and encourage the triathletes participating in the Gatineau triathlons on Saturday, July 7! Categories include an Olympic Triathlon, Sprint Triathlon, Discoveries, and races for younger participants, as well as duathlons, an aquathlon and aquabike, running races and more! Bring your slogan and posters to cheer on your athletes!

Fête du Nautisme and Rabaska Challenge
On July 7, there’s lots happening at the Centre nautique de la Lièvre!
From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., participate in the free Fête du Nautisme (boating festival), with boat rides, SUP lessons, entertainment, inflatable games, and much more!
Energetic types can participate in the La Lièvre Rabaska Challenge (9 a.m. to 12 noon). Enter a team of 6 to 10 people, or come and cheer on the participants.
