St-Jean-Baptiste Day in the Outaouais
Across the region, people are getting ready to celebrate Quebec’s national holiday. As Félix Leclerc noted, “Quebec is a country divided, except when it sings!” On June 23 and 24, there will be lots of opportunities to sing together, including L’Outaouais en fête. This lively festival, which kicks off on Friday, features performances by Hubert Lenoir and Mes Aïeux (Sunday), Sir Pathetik and 2Frères (Monday), and more. Over in Old Hull, catch shows by Daniel Bélanger and Les Louanges (June 23). The next day, stick around as la La p’tite St-Jean presents top talents Fred Fortin and Groovy Aardvark. Wear your dancing shoes! For information about St-Jean-Baptiste Day festivities from Île-du-Grand-Calumet to Montebello by way of Maniwaki, consult the official schedule (website in French only).
