With the solstice still a week away, it feels like summer has been here for awhile, thanks to the warm weather we’ve been having and the multitude of activities taking place in the Outaouais region! This week, flamenco, jazz, animals and guided tours are in the spotlight. Have a great week!

Festival Flamenco Capitale in Ottawa

From June 14 to 16, participate in the very first flamenco festival in Canada’s Capital Region! This is the place to discover the beauty of this magnificent art, with dance and singing shows, a flash mob, a flamenco bazaar, and treats created specially for the festival by Béatrice et chocolats.

Dusk Series: Creatures of the Night

When the sun goes down, a whole body of life becomes active in the forest! Accompanied by one of the Friends of Gatineau Park’s nature interpreters and a guest biologist, come learn about the mysterious but fascinating “creatures of the night.” This family activity will include a 45 minute indoor presentation followed by a short interpretive walk.

Parc Oméga

It’s the perfect time of year to visit Parc Oméga! The weather is super nice for exploring the 15 km of trails in this 890-hectare wildlife park, and (bonus!) the baby wolves have arrived! You’ll also have the opportunity to observe animals in their natural habitat, such as bison, elk, bears, white-tailed deer, wild boars, and more.
