WHAT’S ON IN THE OUTAOUAIS, MARCH 29 - APRIL 4
There’s a wide variety of things to do in the Outaouais this week! You can see exclusive films, unicorns at the Museum (at night!), unique rock formations, a bustling main street lined with sweetness, and a competition that will awaken your taste buds. Along the way, say hello to April!
ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS
Celebrate the 7th art at the Outaouais Film Festival
Once again, Gatineau welcomes top-quality films from around the world! The 21st annual Outaouais Film Festival offers more than 100 projections of feature-length, short fiction and animation films and documentaries from some 20 countries, with screenings at the Cinéma 9 and the Cinéma Aylmer.

Dancing at the Museum
Each Nature Nocturne at the Canadian Museum of Nature is unique and memorable. Party in this majestic castle, dance to the rhythm of the DJ, and when it’s time for a break, visit the galleries kept open just for you. This month’s theme, Unicorn or Narwhal?, plays with notions of legend and reality. (We’re betting there will be more unicorns than narwhals on the dance floor.)
Canadian Museum of Nature – 240 McLeod Street, Ottawa
March 29 from 8 p.m. to midnight

Discover Gatineau Park’s natural heritage
Starting from the Relais plein air (P2), join a snowshoe excursion led by a guide-interpreter. This activity is good for both body and mind: you’ll be getting some exercise as you learn about the unique geological history that shaped the Park’s hilly terrain. Afterwards, why not stop for a coffee and a snack at the Café des Sentiers?

Welcome spring in Old Aylmer
The sixth edition of the “Sugar Shack in Old Aylmer” festival features even more entertainment and exhibitors! For instance, Bistro L’Autre Œil will be serving maple beer and a sugar shack dinner menu, and L’EssenCiel massage therapy centre will be offering maple-infused bath salts! One thing for sure, Principale Street knows how to throw a party.
