Cold weather getting you down? Tired of the daily grind? The Outaouais has just the thing to perk you up! This week, we invite you to discover or rediscover some local attractions in new and unusual ways. For starters, you can spend the night in a museum, visit Omega Park in the fall, and laugh out loud 3 days a week!

Nature Sleepover at the Museum
Does your child have boundless curiosity and enjoy unique experiences? The Canadian Museum of Nature’s Nature Sleepover is the event for you! Pack your PJs and flashlight, and spend the evening exploring the Museum’s galleries and watching a 3D movie.
The sleepover includes an evening snack and morning breakfast, overnight parking (until 9 a.m.) and next-day museum admission.

One Friday a month from October to June, beginning Friday, October 19 from 6:45 p.m. to 9 a.m. the next day.
$68 per person.
Children must be at least 5 years old. Recommended for ages 5 to 12. All children must be accompanied by an adult in the ratio of one adult for every five children.
Halloween in the Village
This weekend, mingle with witches, vampires and pumpkins at “Halloween in the Village” in MacLaren Park. Family activities, a candy kettle, inflatable games and live performances await you. Pssst: Don’t forget to put on your finest (or scariest) disguise for the legendary costume contest!

Reimagining the Children’s Museum
Calling all children! The Canadian Children’s Museum will be renewed in the coming years, and families are invited to help reimagine this popular space. Through creative activities and educational games, children can describe in words, draw, or build their ideal children’s museum. A full day of fun, free activities to contribute to a new project imagined by and for families around the world!

Season launch, Les lundis Juste pour rire
Laughing is good for you, and in the Outaouais, we want people to be in top shape to attend the 2018–19 season of Les lundis Juste pour rire comedy nights. One Monday a month, go to the Maison de la culture to discover up-and-coming comedians who will make you laugh until you cry!
Diehard comedy fans won’t want to miss ÖpenMic comedy nights, Tuesdays at the Minotaure, and Les Mercredis de l’Humour, Wednesdays at the Mardi Gras.

Rediscover Omega Park
Take advantage of the last days of the fall colours to visit Omega Park, a top attraction in the Outaouais! Open year round, the park offers walking trails, exclusive presentations about the life cycle of wolves, and an opportunity to observe Canadian wild animals in their natural habitat.
