February 29 to March 3: Three family-friendly resorts!

Published on February 29 2016

Spring break is here! This year’s plan was to stay home with the kids, but all of a sudden you feel the urge to break out of the daily routine … Dear parents, you’ll be delighted to know that the Outaouais has a solution for you. This week, we feature three resorts where you and your entourage can spend the last weekend of the break (there are still a few spots left between now and March 6, but you’ll need to act fast!). And while you’re at it, why not book your summer holiday as well? That way it will be all taken care of well ahead of time!

Village récréotouristiqueMajopial

Four seasons a year, Village récréotouristiqueMajopial in Bouchette offers a wide range of family activities (canoeing, kayaking, cycling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, snowmobiling and more). Have fun in the great outdoors, enjoy great food at Huiled’olive, the resort’s gourmet restaurant, and spend the night in a fully equipped suite in the inn. For groups of 10 to 20 people, there are two rental cottages on Thirty-One-Mile Lake.

Centre touristique La Petite Rouge

One of the best things about the Centre touristique La Petite Rouge is that even parents get a break. No meals to plan or cook for the duration of your stay—now that’s a real #Outaouaisfun holiday! Rent one of the resort’s 12 cottages (for 2 to 21 people), spend the day doing family activities, and at suppertime, sit down to a tasty home-cooked meal in the cafeteria.

Centre touristique du Lac-Simon

The Centre touristique du Lac-Simon is a family paradise in the heart of white-tailed deer country. Make yourself at home in one of the fully equipped rental cottages and you’ll feel like a real cottage owner, even just for a day or two! Snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice fishing, cycling, a sandy beach, play structures for the kids—all this, plus regular visits from the local deer that come to browse right beside your deck. The kids will love it!
