Chalets Prunella in the Pontiac is the ideal location for love with a capital L! For a start, you’ll fall in love with the site and its A-frame cabins as you spend quality time with your nearest and dearest.
My first visit was a definite success. One look at the photos and I was already eager to get there. After a night in this little corner of paradise, one word comes to mind: Wow! What can I say? Everything was perfect. Whether you’re staying there with family, friends, or your significant other, everything has been thought of to ensure you have an unforgettable “slow living” experience—that is, in a secluded setting and complete tranquillity, so that you can truly savour the moment.
My first visit certainly won’t be my last. I’m in love with the four A-frame forest cabins built on 30 hectares (75 acres) of land. Psst: there’ll be more soon! Stay tuned. In the meantime, book your stay and make the most of it.

Cabins No. 1 and No. 2 have a private bedroom for two plus two single beds upstairs (total of 4 guests), while the smaller Cabins No. 3 and No. 4 sleep two. The cottages share access to beautiful Lake Johnson and private hiking trails.
A unique family getaway
Imagine waking up to the sound of children’s infectious laughter combined with the chirping of birds. Cup of coffee in hand, you watch them enjoying themselves while you relax in this magical forest setting. At lunchtime, you prepare a delicious meal on the barbecue. It smells so good!
You don’t have to do the dishes: just put everything in the dishwasher and walk away! The kitchen has everything you need, just like at home: microwave, toaster, coffee maker, washer and dryer. You’ll even find olive oil, maple syrup and spices. You won’t lack for a thing!
All the kids want to do is play outside! Go for a nature walk in the forest. In summer, it’s time to hit the water! Take advantage of your access to Lake Johnson and go for a swim. There are two docks, canoes, kayaks, paddleboards, and even a large floating raft where everyone can have fun doing pirouettes and jumping into the lake. It was definitely the highlight of our family holiday.
When you get back, why don’t you have a little siesta? Stretch out in the indoor hammock, rest your head on a cozy pillow, and take some deep breaths. The kids, on the other hand, will be jumping up and down like little monkeys when they see this room. Guaranteed!
A secluded stay in nature
Each cabin has its own private relaxation area. You can unwind and enjoy the moment in the outdoor cedar hot tub. It’s the perfect place for a romantic getaway! Warm up by the wood stove, or get some fresh air and share marshmallows around the fire. One thing’s for sure, it’s a very “Instagrammable” place to take great photos as you watch the sun set. Little lights strung among the trees guide you along the paths, adding to the romantic atmosphere.
