July 11–17: 7 ideas for #Outaouaisfun nights

Published on July 11 2016

This week, there are several good reasons to stay up late: it stays light until 9 p.m., and there’s a full moon. Here are a few suggestions for extending your days with some #Outaouaisfun, and not just for adults: let the kids stay up past their bedtime too!

Full moon activities

Full moon party at Club Aléa: On July 16 at 10 p.m., join the crowd at the Full Moon Party at Club Aléa at the Casino du Lac-Leamy with DJ Carl Muren. Bring your neon outfit and your glowstick, and keep the party going at the casino! Be sure to try their new summer cocktail, the PUR Blue, made with PUR vodka.

Full moon paddleboarding: On Tuesday, July 19, the night of the full moon, you’re invited to to try stand-up paddleboarding by moonlight at the Pôle d’excellence en récréotourisme de l’Outaouais (PERO). Several other guided activities are offered from Friday to Monday. Reserve your spot today! Make an evening of it with a fine meal at the Huile d’Olive restaurant.

Full moon rafting: From Friday to Sunday, try an experience that’s unique in Canada: whitewater rafting under the full moon at Horizon X. A one-of-a-kind thrill that’s totally #Outaouaisfun! Reserve your trip today!

For the whole family

Outdoor movie nights: July is Family Month in the Outaouais, and every Friday night in July, you’re invited to the Canadian Museum of History for free outdoor movie nights, presented in partnership with 94.9 Rouge FM and the Société de transport de l’Outaouais. (Note: Movies are in French only.)

Les FantastiX show: There are just four nights left (July 15, 16, 22 and 23) to catch Les FantastiX at the Maison de la culture’s Salle Odyssée. This fantastical interactive performance highlights the fusion between hypnotism, illusionism and mentalism. Buy your tickets and find out all about it!
