On the menu for July 14 to 20

Published on July 14 2014

The Outaouais region is a gigantic playground, and new activities are added every day. From the downtown core to the heart of nature, indoors and out, you’ll find plenty of things to do as a family, as a couple or with friends. It’s no exaggeration: in the Outaouais region, what we really need is a 10‑day week!

On your marks, get set … splash!

Beat the summer heat at Mont Cascades Waterpark, a showcase of water rides that offers fun for the whole family. Exclusively for families, the SplashForest combines the excitement of our favourite slides with an “activewaterplay” structure packed with fun activities. Watch out for the water cannons and the spraying leaves!

Living the cowboy life

From July 18 to 27, indulge your inner cowboy (or cowgirl) at the 14th annual St-André-Avellin Western Festival and Professional Rodeo. Enjoy amateur and professional gymkhanas, equestrian agility games, a professional rodeo, family activities, line dancing, a horse-drawn carriage parade, and live music and theatre performances. Put on your Western boots and ten-gallon hat and hit the trail for the Petite-Nation–La Lièvre!

Add a taste of the Outaouais to your dessert

In the Outaouais region, nobody skips dessert, especially when it’s made with fresh local berries! At Les Fruits de la terre you can pick your own blueberries and raspberries. The more you pick, the healthier your desserts will be and the more you can eat!
