L’Ancienne Banque

76 Saint-Jacques Street, Chapeau

A new restaurant on L’Isle-aux-Allumettes, L’Ancienne Banque has quickly won the hearts of beer lovers. One of the reasons behind this great success? Definitely the fact that it brews its own beers using local hops. It also presents live shows by local musicians!

Brauwerk Hoffman

1298 Route 148, Campbell’s Bay

A new microbrewery has recently sprung up in the Outaouais, on 9.5 acres just off Route 148. Specializing in German-style beers, Brauwerk Hoffman plans to plant a hop field right on the property. You’re invited to visit the tasting room and shop, where you can buy the brewery’s canned beer and related products.

The Petite-Nation has had its own craft beer specialty store for a few years now. In the heart of the charming village of Saint-André-Avellin, you’ll find a truly impressive selection, with new products arriving regularly! While you’re there, be sure to browse the fine food section offering a delectable array of Outaouais-made sausages, pâtés, cheeses, marinades, chocolate, coffee and other delights.

Bonus: an artisanal microdistillery

Artist in Residence Distillerie

243 Bombardier Street, Gatineau

Just because you love craft beer doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy spirits from time to time. Artist in Residence is not only the very first microdistillery in the Outaouais, but it also has one of the largest artisanal production capacities in the country.

Besides not being afraid to experiment, the AiR Distillerie team like to defy convention and explore new possibilities. That approach has paid off with Waxwing (a bohemian gin), Vodkalight (the first light vodka in Canada), and their latest creation, Kilinger Rye (a white whisky 100% sourced in Quebec).
