The Palais des congrès de Gatineau: In the heart of downtown
Located in downtown Gatineau, the Palais des congrès de Gatineau is a versatile multifunctional venue for conventions, conferences and events. The centre’s state-of-the-art technology ensures the success of your event, even for the most complex requirements.
With 12 pillar-free meeting and conference rooms, the Palais des congrès is ideal for large-scale events. The largest room has an area of more than 5,100 m2 (55,000 ft2) and a 23-foot ceiling, and can accommodate up to 3,000 guests.
The Palais des congrès is linked by indoor walkways to the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel, Place du Portage and Maison du citoyen de Gatineau.
The nearby Old Hull neighbourhood is home to several restaurants where you can enjoy a good meal before an event, and bars where you can relax over a drink after a conference. If your delegates want to stretch their legs between meetings, they can take a walk along the waterfront recreational pathway and fill up on fresh air while admiring a stunning view of Canada’s Parliament Buildings, just across the Ottawa River.

The Canadian Museum of History: An impressive setting
Located in the heart of the National Capital Region, the Canadian Museum of History is an especially magical place. It was designed by Indigenous Canadian architect Douglas Cardinal and built on the banks of the Ottawa River in 1989.
The museum has three meeting rooms and six banquet and reception rooms. Dazzle your guests by choosing to hold your event in the Grand Hall, which can accommodate 600 people for a banquet and up to 1,000 people for a reception. One of the grandest public spaces in the country, this impressive venue provides a stunning glimpse into the history and cultural and spiritual heritage of the Indigenous peoples of Canada’s West Coast. Enjoy the breathtaking view of Parliament Hill from the six-storey-high windows.
The museum also has two theatres that can accommodate events of all kinds, including performances, galas, conferences, meetings and sporting events.
