True to form, the City of Gatineau is offering you a summer filled with activities, culture and, above all, fun! There’s literally something for everyone: the city’s Un été sans pareil program includes seasonal classics and some new features the whole family will enjoy. Online or physically distanced in a park, we invite you to enjoy summer in Gatineau!

The Culture Trail reinvented

This year, the Culture Trail is moving out of the downtown core to deliver cultural experiences throughout the city. Urban art lovers are in for a treat, as several works will embellish the streets and buildings of Gatineau. While some creations are making a comeback (including Bordalo II’s deer and the various murals on buildings in Old Hull), others will make their first appearance during the summer season. Music lovers, rejoice: music will be in the spotlight with the Sessions de balcon porch concerts, the Vélo culturel and Radio-Hull! And if you’re more of a literary type, you’ll enjoy public readings by local authors as well as literature on demand, where you can request a telephone reading by an Outaouais author. And of course, heritage will also be at the heart of the Culture Trail’s programming thanks to virtual heritage tours and a mobile getaway game on the theme of the Great Hull Fire of 1900.

Things are happening in Gatineau

When summer finally arrives, it’s automatic, we rush to take advantage of every single minute of good weather to play outside. The City of Gatineau invites you to stretch your legs (and arms) in the parks! With free activities designed for all ages, the city’s green spaces will be hopping. Dance classes, hiking, zumba, ball sports, yoga—the list is long and varied! Several intercultural activities will also be offered, ideal for discovering and celebrating the cultural diversity all around us.

Perfect for families

Families looking for original activities will be delighted to discover all that this summer has in store for them. The city’s offer covers a wide range of preferences and needs, from quieter activities such as the Summer Reading Club for kids (100% online) to Culture Trail activities that encourage children to discover public art, free entertainment such as clowning in the parks, and other activities designed to get everyone moving!
