"Win your fishing trip in the Outaouais" Contest Rules
The contest opens on March 28th, 2023 and closes on October 31, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. ET.
N.B. In this document, the masculine gender is used without discrimination and solely for the sake of conciseness and readability. Use of the word “or” in this document does not exclude any of the elements or conditions listed and should be considered inclusive.

1. Eligibility
1.1 This contest is open exclusively to persons 18 years of age and over in Canada.
1.2 Contestants can participate by filling out the online form on the website of Outaouais Tourism.
1.3 To be declared a winner, the participant whose name has been drawn must have duly completed the entry form and complied with all the conditions stated in this document. Failure to comply with any of these conditions will result in automatic disqualification and another draw will be held to select a new winner. Any entry form that is inaccurate, incomplete, illegible, late or fraudulent or contains false information will be automatically rejected.
1.4 Each client is entitled to one chance to win, with a limit of one entry per client unless otherwise stated. Any attempt to enter more than once will result in immediate disqualification.
1.5 The following are NOT eligible to enter : Administrators, employees, leaders, agents and representatives of Outaouais Tourism, of any company, corporation, trust or other legal entity controlled by or affiliated to them, their advertising and promotional agencies, suppliers of prizes, material and services related to this contest, to the Outaouais Outfitters Association, Hooké and Équipements Maniwaki, as well as members of their immediate family (brothers, sisters, children, father, mother), their legal or common-law spouse, and any individuals with whom such employees, agents and representatives are domiciled.
2. The prize
2.1 The prize to be won is:
A Princecraft Scamper motorboat, a Mercury 9.9, 4 stroke engine and a trailer, for a value of CDN $9,000, offered by Équipements Maniwaki;
A fishing trip in one of the Outaouais participating Outfitters*, for a value of CDN $1,500, offered by Outaouais Tourism.
A gift box, for a value of CND 100$, offered by Hooké;
The total value of this prize is CDN $10,600.
*Participating Outfitters : Camping Union – Chez Rainville, Le Domaine Shannon, Stramond Lake Lodge, Poirier Fish and Game Territory, Bryson Lake Lodge, Pavillon La Vérendrye and Wapus Lodge.
2.2 The boat licence plate fees, the insurance fees and the trailer licence plate fees are the winner's responsibility. The prize will be awarded by Tourisme Outaouais on behalf of the Outaouais Outfitters Association, Hooké and Équipements Maniwaki. The Grand Prize does not include custom duties of if the winner is a United States resident. The chances of winning depend on the number of eligible contestants. By accepting the Grand Prize, the winner recognizes the inherent dangers of use of a motorboat and acknowledges that Tourisme Outaouais, the Outaouais Outfitters Association, Hooké and Équipements Maniwaki are not liable for any injuries, accidents, or fatalities.
2.3 The contest winner releases and holds harmless Outaouais Tourism, any company, corporation, trust or other legal entity controlled by or affiliated to it, its advertising and promotional agencies, suppliers and sponsors of material and services related to this contest, and their employees, agents and representatives (the “Released Parties”) from and against any damage resulting from participation in this contest, from the acceptance or use of the prize, or from the use of services related to the prize. The contest winner agrees to sign a Release Form before receiving the prize.
2.4 The winner accepts the prize without any legal or other warranty from the Released Parties. The prize must be accepted as awarded. It may not be substituted for another prize or exchanged in whole or in part for cash and/or be transferred to another person.
2.5 The winner agrees to allow Outaouais Tourism, the Outaouais Outfitters Association, the participating Outfitters, Hooké, Équipement Maniwaki and their partners to mention his/her first and last name in announcing the contest results on social networks or on the Web, without any time restriction and without any form of compensation.
2.6 If the winner declines the prize, the Released Parties are released from all responsibility and obligation with respect to the winner.
2.7 Prize package does not include (other than those specified above): Transportation and meal expenses, beverages, gratuities, and personal expenses.
3. General Rules
3.1 The contest consists of a random electronic draw among the participants who meet the contest requirements.
3.2 No purchase necessary.
3.3 Outaouais Tourism reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, end, modify or suspend this contest, subject to the approval of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec, if required. In such a case, Outaouais Tourism may not be held liable in any way.
3.4 Outaouais Tourism and the persons for whose benefit the contest is held will assume no responsibility of any nature whatsoever in any case where their inability to act results from a fact or situation beyond their control or a strike, a pandemic, a lock-out, a bankruptcy or any other labour conflict in the establishments of the organizations or enterprises whose services are used to hold this contest.
3.5 Any dispute regarding the awarding of the prize may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for settlement. This dispute may be submitted only for the purposes of an intervention to settle the dispute.
3.6 All entry forms are the property of Outaouais Tourism, his campaign partners, the Outaouais Outfitters Association, Hooké and Équipements Maniwaki. The entry forms are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are illegible.
3.7 On request, a French version of this document can be provided. In case of dispute, the French version will prevail.
3.8 The Released Parties do not warrant that access to or use of any contest website will be uninterrupted or error-free, and disclaim all liability for any problem that may limit or prevent any entrant’s participation in the contest, including but not limited to: a technical failure with the telephone network, telephone lines, on-line computer systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, or software, or a failure in any transmission (including email) to Outaouais Tourism for any reason including but not limited to congestion on the Internet network or on an Internet site or the combination of the two. The Released Parties will not be held responsible for any damage that could affect the computer equipment of participants following their registration in the contest.
3.9 Personal information collected for purposes of the contest will be used by Outaouais Tourism or its authorized representative only to administer the contest and will not be used for any other purpose without the express consent of the participant. By providing this information, the participant consents to its being used for the stated purposes.
3.10 In the event of the unavailability of the advertised prize because of circumstances beyond their control, the Released Parties reserve the exclusive right, at their sole discretion, to award a prize of the same kind and of equivalent value, without right of appeal by the winner.
3.11 The Released Parties assume no responsibility for losses, delays, address errors, printing errors, or any other error related to this contest.
4. Draw (Selection of Winner)
4.1 The prize will be drawn at random by a software among the contestants who have met the contest requirements.

This draw will be held in November or December, 2023, at the Outaouais Outfitters Association Assembly. The official date will be defined later. If for any reason the assembly is postponed, the draw will be postponed as well. The winner will be contacted by telephone or by mail. If the winner cannot be reached within 10 days of the draw, another contestant will be chosen.
4.3 Outaouais Tourism cannot be held responsible in the event contest organizers are unable to contact a selected entrant.
4.4 The prize offered by Équipements Maniwaki will be set aside at Équipements Maniwaki (62, Route 105, Maniwaki, Quebec J9E 3A9) for the winner to take possession from April 1, 2024. The winner must take the necessary arrangements to pick-up the prize and must take care of all the related fees. The prize offered by Hooké will be sent directly to the winner by mail.
4.5 Any person who wins this contest agrees to abide by these rules and the decisions of Outaouais Tourism, which administers the contest and whose decisions are final and not subject to appeal.
