“Win your 100% Local Box – Holiday Edition" Contest Rules

The “Win your 100% Local Box – Holiday Edition” contest opens on December 13th, 2021 and closes on December 17th, 2021, at 12:00 EST.

1. Eligibility

1.1 This contest is open exclusively to persons 18 years of age and over in Quebec, Canada.

1.2 Contestants can participate by filling out the online form.

1.3 To be declared the winner, the selected entrant must have completed a written entry form and complied with all other contest requirements specified in this document. Failing which he will be disqualified and another draw will be held, in keeping with these contest rules, until another entrant is selected and declared the winner.

1.4 Each participant is entitled to one chance to win. The limit is one entry per person. Any attempt to enter more than one time will result in immediate disqualification.

1.5 By registering to this contest, participants accept and respect the rules.

1.6 The following are NOT eligible to enter : Administrators, employees, leaders, agents and representatives of Outaouais Tourism, of any company, corporation, trust or other legal entity controlled by or affiliated to them, their advertising and promotional agencies, suppliers of prizes, material and services related to this contest, as well as members of their immediate family (brothers, sisters, children, father, mother), their legal or common-law spouse, and any individuals with whom such employees, agents and representatives are domiciled.

1.7 The contestants have up to December 17th, 2021, at 12:00 EST, to participate.

1.8 Inaccurate, incomplete, illegible, fraudulent, false, or misleading entries and late entries will automatically be disqualified.

2. The prize

2.1 The winners will get a box containing several products from local producers in the Outaouais. There will be one draw and two winners of a 100% Local Box – Holiday Edition valued at $75. Total value: $150.

2.3 The contest winner releases and holds harmless Outaouais Tourism, any company, corporation, trust or other legal entity controlled by or affiliated to them, their advertising and promotional agencies, suppliers and sponsors of material and services related to this contest, and their employees, agents and representatives (the “Released Parties”) from and against any damage resulting from participation in this contest, from the acceptance or use of the prize. or from the use of services related to the prize. The contest winner and his guest agree to sign a Declaration and Release Form (the “Declaration Form”) in favour of the Released Parties, confirming their acceptance of these contest rules and of the prize as awarded, and releasing and holding harmless the Released Parties as specified above. If the winner’s guest is under 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must complete and sign the Declaration Form on the guest’s behalf.

2.4 The prize must be accepted as awarded. It may not be substituted for another prize or exchanged in whole or in part for cash and/or be transferred to another person.

2.5 By accepting the prize, the winner consents that Tourisme Outaouais and their partners to use his name, place of domicile, image, voice and (or) declarations relating to the prize, as well as those of his guests at any time, to advertising and promotional purposes in connection with this contest, in any manner whatsoever and in any media, without compensation.

2.6 If the winner declines the prize, the Released Parties are released from all responsibility and obligation with respect to the winner.

2.7 Prize package does not include (other than those specified above): Transportation and meal expenses, beverages, gratuities, and personal expenses.

3. General Rules:

3.1 The “Win your 100% Local Box – Holiday Edition” contest will be held between December 13th, 2021 and closes on December 17th, 2021, at 12:00 EST. It consists of a random electronic draw among the participants who meet the contest requirements between the following dates: December 13th, 2021 and December 17th, 2021.

3.2 By accepting the prize, the winner consents that his name, age place of domicile are being mentioned online or on the radio.

3.3 No purchase necessary.

3.4 Outaouais Tourism reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, end, modify or suspend this contest, subject to the approval of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec, if required. In such a case, they may not be held liable in any way.

3.5 Tourisme Outaouais and the persons for whose benefit the contest is held will assume no responsibility of any nature whatsoever in any case where their inability to act results from a fact or situation beyond their control or a strike, a lock-out or any other labour conflict in the establishments of the organizations or enterprises whose services are used to hold this contest.

3.6 Any dispute regarding the awarding of the prize may be submitted to the “Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux” for settlement. This dispute may be submitted only for the purposes of an intervention in an attempt to settle the dispute.

3.7 All the entry forms are the property of Tourisme Outaouais. The entry forms are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are illegible.

3.8 On request, a French version of this document is available at Tourisme Outaouais or on the Web site www.tourismeoutaouais.com. In case of dispute, the French version will prevail.

3.9 The Released Parties do not warrant that access to or use of any contest website will be uninterrupted or error-free, and disclaim all liability for any problem that may limit or prevent any entrant’s participation in the contest, including but not limited to: a technical failure with the telephone network, telephone lines, on-line computer systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, or software, or a failure in any transmission (including email) to Outaouais Tourism for any reason including but not limited to congestion on the Internet network or on an Internet site or the combination of the two. The Released Parties will not be held responsible for any damage that could affect the computer equipment of participants following their registration in the contest.

3.10 Personal information collected for purposes of the contest will be used by Outaouais Tourism or its authorized representative only to administer the contest and will not be used for any other purpose without the express consent of the participant or his parent, guardian or legally authorized representative. By providing this information, the entrant consents to its being used for the stated purposes.

3.11 In the event of the unavailability of the advertised prize because of circumstances beyond their control, the Released Parties reserve the exclusive right, at their sole discretion, to award a prize of the same kind and of equivalent value, without right of appeal by the winner.

3.12 The Released Parties assume no responsibility for losses, delays, address errors, printing errors, or any other error related to this contest.

4. Draw (Selection of Winner)

4.1 The prize will be drawn at random by a software among the contestants who have met the contest requirements. This draw will be held in December 17th, 2021, at 2:00 PM by two employees of Tourisme Outaouais. If for any reason the assembly is postponed, the draw will be postponed as well. The winner will be contacted by telephone or by mail. In the event that the winner cannot be reached within 10 days of the draw, another contestant will be chosen.

4.2 Outaouais Tourism cannot be held responsible in the event contest organizers are unable to contact a selected entrant.

4.3 The prize must be accepted as is and may not be transferred, exchanged, or substituted.

4.4 The winners could pick up the 100% Local Box – Holiday Season at Promenades Gatineau at the former Panda stand by December 23, depending on shopping center hours.

4.6 Any person who wins this contest agrees to abide by these rules and the decisions of Tourisme Outaouais, who administers the contest, and whose decisions are final and not subject to appeal.
