BRIGITTE DAHAN | MOUVANCES
25, rue Laurier, Maison du Citoyen, 1er étage, Gatineau, (Québec), J8X 4C8
From June 21st till August 19th, 2018. In this exhibition, the artist questions the impact of new technologies on our social life, our psyche and our evolution as a species. Conceived as a journey from the origins of life, the exhibition unfolds on a time line in which humans absorb a memory of the primitive, then witness a period of expansion and finally are projected into an imagined future. In the artist's monumental installations and sculptures, there is an echo of organic and technological references, contrasting the primitive nature of clay with electronic components integrated into the pieces. Her work questions the future of mankind in a changing world. Vernissage on June 21st from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
