HEALTH IN SPACE: DARING TO EXPLORE
Canada aviation and space museum
11, promenade de l'aviation, Ottawa, (Ontario), K1K 4R3
Space can be a dangerous place. Gravity, radiation, and isolation pose unique challenges for astronauts, and for those back on Earth working to ensure their health. Canadian astronaut Dr. David Saint-Jacques, currently acting as crew medical officer aboard the International Space Station, is a special highlight within this exhibition. Visitors can listen as astronauts share their first-hand experiences, and explore surprising artifacts that reveal how Canada has contributed to advancing our understanding of health in space. Discoveries in this field will be essential for the success of future deep-space expeditions, and may also help solve medical challenges on Earth. Exhibition developed and produced by the Canada Aviation and Space Museum in collaboration with the Canadian Space Agency.
