Several funding programs are offered to tourism organizations and businesses to help them develop and implement innovative and structuring concepts for the industry.

CONSULT THE PROMOTER’S GUIDE

This program reflects the shared desire of the Ministère du Tourisme (MTO) and Outaouais Tourism to support tourism experiences that take place during the winter and showcase Québec’s winter and its northern character. Projects must take place during the winter period, from November to April.

To be eligible, projects must correspond to the definition of winter tourism as indicated in the Promoter’s Guide and meet a minimum of three (3) of the objectives set by the support measure.

This funding program is open exclusively to members of Outaouais Tourism. For several years now, Outaouais Tourism has been actively involved in the development of agrotourism and gourmet tourism in the region. Agrotourism and gourmet tourism invite visitors to discover a region through its terroir, agrotourism or bio-food activities and culinary experiences.

Program objectives:

  1. Develop an attractive visitor offer in the agrotourism and food tourism sectors.
  2. Make the Outaouais a prime destination for gourmet tourism enthusiasts.
  3. Promote tourism that benefits individuals and respects communities.
  4. Strengthen the competitiveness of the region’s agrotourism businesses.
  5. Help develop and strengthen local supply chains.

The Mountain Plan reflects the shared desire of the Ministère du Tourisme (MTO) and Outaouais Tourism to work together to enhance the vitality and resilience of the ecosystem of businesses and communities involved in mountain tourism, using a responsible and sustainable approach.

Program objectives:

  1. Develop a year-round, accessible, diversified and sustainable mountain tourism offer.
  2. Encourage spending within the local economy.
  3. Promote tourism that benefits individuals and respects communities.
  4. Strengthen the competitiveness of the region’s tourism businesses.
  5. Promote community consultation to optimize economic spinoffs and ensure cohesive development.
  6. Help develop and strengthen local supply chains.

OUTAOUAIS REGION TOURISM DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (ORTDP) 2022-2025

PROJECT APPLICATION PERIOD: until November 4, 2024 at 4:00 p.m.

This funding program reflects the joint desire of the Ministère du Tourisme (MTO) and Tourisme Outaouais to join forces with local partners and businesses to carry out projects to develop the regional tourism offering in line with the destination’s priorities. Priority will be given to festivals and events with a sustainable development policy that limits the environmental impact of the project.

Once the Outaouais Tourism development team has confirmed the eligibility of your project and your company, you will receive an email with a form and a list of the supporting documents to be submitted with your application. Only complete applications will be considered.
