June 6 to 12: 3 good reasons to get out of the house this weekend
Whatever you like to do, there’s no reason to stay home: the Outaouais has everything you need for a busy and entertaining weekend!
Pontiac Artists’ Studio Tour
On June 11–12 and 18–19, you’re invited to the 27th annual Pontiac Artists’ Studio Tour. This year, 13 artists are featured in 10 studios throughout this scenic region in west Outaouais. Discover original works in many different media: photography, painting (acrylic, oil, and water colour), pastel, fused and stained glass, etching, pottery (clay and ceramic), woodworking, silk painting, mosaic, traditional Korean paper making, and textile art.
On June 12 at 10:30, the Tétreault Community Centre in Gatineau is the place to be for Cours Toutoune on tour in Gatineau. Join humourist Geneviève Gagné (host of the popular “Cours Toutoune” web series) for a FREE fun walk or run along the Ottawa River (maximum 8K). During the event, enjoy energizing snacks from Biscotti & cie, chocolate milk from the Laiterie de l’Outaouais, iced tea from the Cha Yi Tea House, and even a chair massage by a massage therapist from Studio 157. Sounds like a good time!
Tour de la Petite-Nation BMR
On June 11 and 12, rain or shine, join the Tour de la Petite-Nation BMR bike tour and pedal through several municipalities in the Petite-Nation sector. With circuits from 1.6 to 99.5 km, this family-friendly, non-competitive event offers fun for everyone.
