Spruceholme Inn
This historic region is rich in the heritage of its original Irish, Polish and German settlers. The Spruceholme Inn in Fort Coulonge is a prime example. Built during the time of the great lumber barons, this magnificent stone mansion will take you back to a storied past. The barn, built in 1850, was taken apart, moved, rebuilt and converted into a charming restaurant. Also on the site are a beautiful conference centre that can accommodate up to 400 people and sleep up to 40 guests.
Coulonge Falls Park
Also in Fort Coulonge, relive the history of the log drive and the lumberjacks at Coulonge Falls Park. You can also get your fill of thrills on the park’s giant ziplines and the Via Ferrata, a climbing route along a rockface in the Coulonge River canyon. If you crave adventure, this is the place for you!
Timberland Tours
Are you looking for an unusual group activity? How about dogsledding? Timberland Tours offers dogsledding all year round—and Denis Rozon’s sled dogs, a special mix of German pointer, greyhound and Alaskan husky, are the fastest canines on the planet!
Horizon X
The Pontiac offers a wide range of unique group activities. At Horizon X Rafting, you can shoot the tumbling Ottawa River rapids by day … or under the full moon. It’s a one-of-a-kind adventure that participants won’t soon forget. Team building at its best!
