October 26 to November 1: Celebrate Halloween in Outaouais!

October 26 2015

Barnyard Halloween

On October 31 and November 1, you’re invited to the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum for a barnyard Halloween celebration! Enjoy special activities just right for the occasion: go on a scavenger hunt through the barns, make some ghoulish treats, decorate a pumpkin to bring home, and take part in Halloween games. Young visitors can show off their Halloween “look” in the costume parade.

Halloween in a castle

From October 30 to November 1, the Fairmont Le Château Montebello invites all ghouls, goblins and monsters to enjoy a special Halloween package, with fun for the whole family. The popular giant maze will be back, and there will be pumpkin decorating, trick or treating, a family movie night and a costume parade.

The best candies in Outaouais

Your little trick-or-treaters deserve the best at Halloween, and the best treats in the region come from the Wakefield Confectionery. The moment you step into the shop, you and your little ones will be amazed at the huge selection of home-made sweets piled high on every shelf. It’s definitely worth the trip, especially at Halloween!

Costume ball at the Chelsea Pub

On October 31, the Chelsea Pub is hosting a Halloween party on the theme of Vintage. Grab a glass of local craft beer and join the crowd for a great old-fashioned time. Here’s one adult nostalgia trip you won’t want to miss!

A party with “altitude”

On Saturday, October 31, kids are invited to put on their costumes and attend the Little Monsters Ball at Altitude Gym. Pumpkin decorating, fun in the Clip ’N Climb theme park, and more. This year, don’t look for little zombies in the graveyard: they’ll be climbing the walls instead!

Bat-spotting and more in the museum

From October 17 to 31, there will be bats hiding everywhere in the Canadian Children’s Museum. Keep your bat-eyes peeled and see how many you can find! On Halloween itself (Saturday, October 31), you’re invited to attend the best family party in town, hosted in the Museum’s spectacular Grand Hall. Little and big monsters alike will socialize and enjoy hands-on crafts, games, facepainting and live entertainment—with a bit of boo-tiful learning thrown in!
