This route invites you to get back to nature. Several days spent discovering the Vallée-de-la-Gatineau and its many secrets. There's also the Bras-Coupé-Désert ZEC (zone d'exploitation contrôlée, or wildlife resource management area), with its cosy cottages, turnkey campsites, and amazing fishing. With two huge reservoirs and more than 4,000 lakes, La Vérendrye Wildlife Reserve is a true paradise for campers and anglers. Maniwaki offers plenty of activity options, including a visit to the Forest Fire Prevention History Interpretation Center. Or stay at Auberge Majopial, where you will be received like kings. The Vallée welcomes you with open arms!

The Forest Fire Prevention History Interpretation Center, located at Château Logue, pays tribute to those who have dedicated their talent and energy to forest protection. One of two exhibition halls is dedicated to the major forest fires in the province of Quebec and describes the superhuman efforts and ingenuity of the workers to protect the forest. The 24-metre lookout tower is open to the public. Discover the history of the two families who lived in the heritage building Le Château Logue Discover the Maniwaki Heritage Circuit. 26 panels that will enable you to learn more about about the rich history of Maniwaki. The starting point is at the Chateau Logue.
