Cultural, natural, and gourmet Gatineau
Gatineau has a lot to offer. Whether you're into cultural visits, enjoying the fresh air in wide open spaces, or spending a night on the town, you'll find what you're looking for. In the same day, you'll be able to visit an electric generating station, have a picnic in a great park by a lake, visit a world class museum and end it all on a very inviting patio. You'll have to come back for the rest!
The Rapides-Farmer Generating Station, located in the north of the city, offers free visits of its installations. Just a few minutes by car and you'll be in Lac Leamy Park, devouring a fine meal you will previously have bought at La Trappe à fromage. A stay in Gatineau without going to the Canadian Museum of History (the most visited museum in Canada), would be unthinkable and from there, you'll be a stone's throw away from Café Aux 4 jeudis, to end the day with style.
