Gatineau will host several major events this summer, including MosaïCanada 150 / Gatineau 2017, Cirque du Soleil’s new show VOLTA, and the opening of the new Canadian History Hall at the Canadian Museum of History. Take a stroll along the new Cultural Trail and discover two dozen art installations and heritage sites along the route. The 8 km trail is a common thread linking several Canada 150 programming elements in a fun and informative way.

Are you visiting Gatineau this summer and don’t want to miss a thing? This route is the best way to cover all the celebrations of the 150th anniversary of Confederation. Start at the Canadian Museum of History, and be among the first to visit the new Canadian History Hall. Next, follow the Cultural Trail to the heart of downtown Gatineau: hidden behind those office towers you’ll find a lively and colourful neighbourhood with lots of great cafés and restaurants! After a fine meal, walk to Jacques-Cartier Park to admire the the Mosaïcultures with their amazing horticultural sculptures.
