Ah, the winter dilemma: should you stay or go? Here’s an idea: go south to southern Quebec! Here in the Outaouais region, there’s lots of winter fun to keep you warm. We all know that cold contracts matterbut here it makes things bigger. The world's largest skating rink is here. North America's largest snow playground is here too, at the Snowflake Kingdom during Winterlude. From skating on Brewery Creek or the Rideau Canal, snowshoeing or cross-country skiing in Gatineau Park, gliding through the forest on a dog sled, tube sliding down a snow-covered hill, exploring the back country on horseback, or warming up in a wilderness yurt or a downtown museum, you have to admit: southern Quebec is hot. Slip into your parka and pull on your mitts, because this is where it's all happening. And the hot chocolate is excellent.
