Kîsisam Patisserie

Located in Saint-André-Avellin, in the Petite-Nation region, Kîsisam Pâtisserie offers pastries inspired by ingredients steeped in a rich Indigenous cultural history. In the Oji-Cree language, Kîsisam means “she who bakes with fire.” Dominique Lalonde, chef and owner, blends traditional Indigenous flavors with a modern twist to create a unique culinary experience that celebrates culture and craftsmanship. The business also offers immersive workshops that introduce participants to ingredients from the boreal forest and Indigenous culinary traditions, as well as a catering service that showcases boreal flavors.
